ABOUT

Family-run and exclusive use, Self Catering Lodge, Kubu Metsi is the perfect escape to relax in the African bush. We are a short 35-minute drive from Sun City or 2-hour drive from Lanseria Airport. Located in the Big 5, malaria-free, Black Rhino Game Reserve, Kubu Metsi is part of the 55,000-hectare Pilanesberg National Park.

The lodge was named Kubu Metsi (Hippo Water in the local Tswana language) after the resident hippo bull often seen at Synite Dam as you enter Black Rhino Game Reserve.

The perfect getaway with family and friends, Kubu Metsi is child-friendly and includes 4 detached luxury suites with en-suite bathrooms.

Kubu Metsi can accommodate 8 adults and 4 children (children aged 10 years and above count as adults)

Maximum occupancy including children is 12 pax.

 

The accommodation comprises 4 detached luxury suites, each with a private bathroom and an outdoor shower.

All included in the Exclusive Use Lodge rates.

Game drives are included in your stay and are conducted with a professional guide in your private 4 x 4 safari vehicle on the exclusive Black Rhino Game Reserve and Pilanesberg National Park. Kubu Metsi is privileged to have traverse rights for the entire Pilanesberg National Park, as well as their limited Wilderness Area, established for the protection of the endangered black rhino.

Please note that a maximum of 10 guests are allowed in the vehicle during game drives

GAME DRIVES
BLACK RHINO GAME RESERVE

Enjoy the luxury of having the lodge to yourself and your guests while our professional game ranger guides you through one of the richest diversity of fauna and flora in Africa. Game drive start times are flexible as you use a private safari vehicle.

Game drives are conducted in a 4 x 4 Safari vehicle on the 2,000-hectare Black Rhino Game Reserve, which is open to the 55,000-hectare Pilanesberg National Park, allowing the Big 5 and other endangered species such as Cheetah and Black Rhino to roam freely.
